Using the Pulse Secure software on the university computers (Win10)
The VPN client Pulse Secure allows you to use the university network in wireless mode and outside the university premises. The software is pre-installed in staff computers that have Windows 10.
Connecting to the VPN and disconnecting
- Open the Start menu by clicking the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. Find Pulse Secure among the programs.
- The settings for remote connection have been configured in the application, so you can go directly to the Connection menu and click Connect under the VPN-staff connection.
- The application launches a new window prompting for username and password. Enter your username in the User name field and your password in the Password field. Finally, click Connect.
- Pulse Secure will notify you once the connection has been established. The notification will open in a new window and close automatically after a while. The VPN is connected until you click the Disconnect button next to the VPN-staff connection in the main window of the application.
