Lenovo computers under centralized University management will receive BIOS updates to new versions starting April 20, 2026. The update will be install together with regular Windows updates. You will see a notification on your computer screen when the update is ready to be installed.
- The update will install automatically on your device. The update will take approx. 15 minutes – keep your computer connected to power and the internet during the update!
- Note! Your Lenovo computer screen may go dark for several minutes and the device may restart multiple times during the update. Please wait patiently until the update is complete!
- The update is not yet available for some Lenovo devices. Therefore, the update will not be installed on all University Lenovo devices at this time.
