The IT Center will decommission Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (RHEL7) servers at the University on 30 June 2024 due to RHEL7 end-of-life. If you are using a RHEL7 server or servers, we recommend that you either decommission the server(s) or acquire new servers through the Linux server administration acquisition process.
- If you are still using a RHEL7 server or servers, you will receive reminder emails about the RHEL7 end-of-life from our Linux Server Administration from the beginning of March 2024. The messages contain instructions on how to decommission old servers and begin the process for ordering new servers. We originally informed University RHEL7 administrators about the RHEL7 end-of-life by email in March 2022.
