The Securemail service used to send confidential email will undergo extensive update work between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on 28 February, due to which the service will be completely unavailable for the duration of the update.
- During the service break, you can use Microsoft 365 Message Encryption to send confidential email. For more information, see the Helpdesk’s instructions site: Confidential email.
- However, please note that Microsoft 365 Message Encryption software is suitable for sending secure messages to individuals, but not for service addresses. So, avoid sending confidential email to service addresses during the service break.
- After the service break, you will be able to use the Securemail service again. The user interface or functions of the service will not change as a result of the update.
The update is carried out as the operating system support for the current implementation of the Securemail service will end in the summer. In this way, we will guarantee the University staff and students versatile and secure services for sending confidential emails also in the future.
