The University adopted a shared procurement model for computers, phones and IT devices as of the beginning of 2026. In the new procurement model, the responsibility for IT procurements and device returns was transferred from the campus service coordinators to the IT Centre.
According to the procurement model, the University procures computers and IT devices centrally from the University’s recommended device selection, from which University staff and contracted members of the University community (grant-funded researchers D2 emer.prof and D5 grant researcher) can receive devices directly for their use without separate approval.
- The Norssi teacher training schools, the Faculty of Science and the IT Centre are outside the model for the years 2026–2027!
