The creation of external Wiki service (wiki.helsinki.fi) usernames will change on 20 January 2025. Creating external usernames in the Wiki service will require an invitation from a user with a University username. The change will be implemented due to information security.
As a result of the change, you will see the link Invite someone external to Wiki on the front page of Wiki from 20 January 2025. Clicking on the link will take you to an online form, which you can use to send an invitation to create a Wiki service username to an external user by email.
External users with Haka and eduGAIN usernames can still log in to the Wiki service via single sign-on, and they will not be affected by the change.
