Microsoft Publisher will be discontinued at the University on 13 October 2026, in line with Microsoft’s announced end-of-life date for the application. After this date, it will no longer be possible to open or edit Publisher files.
If you still use Microsoft Publisher for page layout, we recommend switching to alternative applications. Among Microsoft’s own applications, Word and PowerPoint are suitable for creating publication and presentation materials. University staff also have access to PDF XChange PRO for working with PDF files – you can download the application from the Software Center.
Please also remember to convert your important Publisher documents to PDF format if needed. You can find instructions for bulk file conversion and more information about the end of Publisher’s lifecycle on Microsoft’s website.
