The IT Center will update the login services for University wireless networks (eduroam, HelsinkiUni and HelsinkiUni Guest) one campus at a time during the spring of 2024. At Kumpula, the login service for eduroam connections will be updated on 9 April 2024 from 1AM to 3PM (login services for HelsinkiUni and HelsinkiUni Guest networks were already updated at Kumpula in March). We will release information on login service updates on other campuses during the spring.
Due to the login service renewal work, short service breaks will occur with eduroam connections at Kumpula on Tuesday 9 April 2024 from 1 to 3 PM. Additionally, logging in to eduroam with short usernames (e.g. rkeskiva) or with usernames ending with @ad.helsinki.fi (e.g. rkeskiva@ad.helsinki.fi) will no longer be possible at Kumpula after the login service update on Tuesday 9 April 1– 3PM.
If you have previously logged in to eduroam using your short username (e.g. rkeskiva) or your username ending with @ad.helsinki.fi (in the form of rkeskiva@ad.helsinki.fi), or you are not sure which form of username you have used to log in to eduroam:
- Download the new eduroam installation profile to your University work computer from the Geteduroam website: https://geteduroam.org/.
- Log in to eduroam with your University username ending with @helsinki.fi (rkeskiva@helsinki.fi).

- Please note! We recommend that you get the new eduroam network profile settings for your University computer well before the service changes take effect on 9 April 2024 from 1 to 3 PM, so that your work will not be interrupted. You can also get the eduroam settings now if you work on another University campus. The same changes will take effect on other campuses during the spring.
