A service break will occur in the Unitube Uploader (lataamo.helsinki.fi) service on Tuesday, 20 October 2026 from 8 AM to 5 PM. During the break, managing and uploading videos in Unitube Uploader will be unavailable. Viewing Unitube videos, logging in to Unitube lecture rooms and studios, and lecture room recordings and streams will function normally during the break.
The service break is due to the deployment of Unitube’s new database. The new database will allow you to add more descriptive metadata to videos, making Unitube content easier to use. The update is also intended to make videos easier to find in the University’s new public Unitube Viewer, which is due to launch towards the end of 2026.
During the service break on 20 October 2026 from 8 AM to 5 PM:
- Unitube Uploader (lataamo.helsinki.fi) will be unavailable.
- New videos cannot be uploaded, and recordings cannot be managed through the service.
- Recordings made in Unitube lecture rooms and studios will not be transferred immediately for sharing and storage.
- Lecture room recordings made during the break will be transferred for processing and will appear in Unitube Uploader later after the break has ended.
- Unitube streams will function normally.
