Service breaks in university network services and connections 25 November 2020

Extensive service breaks will occur in the university network services and connections due to the university’s core network renovation work at the Viikki data center on 25 November 2020 at 6–9 a.m. The work may also cause breaks in all of the university’s network services (including Flamma, helsinki.fi and Office 365) and in authentication.

The renewal of the core network implemented by the IT Center in 2020 will improve the capacity and reliability of the university’s core network. 

During the core network renovation on Wednesday, 25 November 2020, at 6–9 a.m.:

• Breaks in wireless and fixed network connections may occur. 
• Breaks in the network services (including Flamma, helsinki.fi, Office 365, Zoom) and authentication may occur. 
• If the scheduled core network renovation break causes problems for e.g. ongoing research, please contact us at: helpdesk@helsinki.fi
