Users have reported exceptionally high numbers of various phishing messages targeting University of Helsinki staff and students. These messages contain malicious links to phishing pages. If you receive a message notifying you of e.g. the closure of your account, do not click the link contained in the message or fill your username or password to the form that follows.

Helpdesk is already aware of these phishing messages. You can reduce the number of phishing and scam messages being sent to all university staff and students by reporting the messages directly to Microsoft:

Always read your e-mail messages thoroughly and pay special attention to their contents. The University IT staff or Helpdesk will never ask for your user account information via email! Messages prompting you for your password are always scams.
