The data center service offers the university units the opportunity to bring their own servers to the data center of the IT Center.
IT Center offers the units the opportunity to bring their own servers to the data center of the IT Center. Units can get a rack of their own if they have a lot of servers, or share a rack with another unit.
The racks can be locked, and access is only granted for a limited number of persons appointed by the unit. IT Center administrators have access to all racks.
The data center service includes the rack space, electricity, network connection, auxiliary power and cooling. The units are responsible for all other matters.
