Flamma is the University of Helsinki’s intranet. It is an electronic desktop for everyone at the university and the main channel for internal communications. In addition to contents of one’s own unit, it can also be used for the publication of own press releases and events.
A valid university user account is needed for using Flamma. Flamma is profiled according to the user in such a way that content is allocated based on the user’s role, unit and settings. Flamma’s roles are:
- research and teaching staff
- support and administration staff.

To log into Flamma, go to flamma.helsinki.fi and use your personal valid user account or limited user account. If you want to publish content, please contact the Flamma editor of your unit (see the unit directory).
The IT Center is responsible for Flamma’s technical platform. The digital editorial office of the university is the editor of Flamma. Flamma’s editor in charge coordinates content production in cooperation with the coordinators of various fields.
