A new variety of phishing messages has been detected by the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority. These messages have been disguised as security e-mails, which ask users for their username and password after reading the message. Please remember that security e-mails sent by the University of Helsinki never ask users for their username or password in order to read messages.
Please note that phishing messages disguised as security e-mails may not be sent from addresses appearing to be from the university - such messages may be sent in the name of other larger organizations, such as banks, as well.
Remain vigilant when reading your e-mail. You are the most important link in the information security chain!
