There will be changes to the installations of Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) software on the university’s Windows computers and to Adobe licences on all devices at the turn of the year 2020–2021. In future, you will be able to select which applications to install with the Adobe Creative Cloud application also on Windows computers. From 1 January 2021, it will also be possible to get licenses for individual Adobe CC applications on all university devices. See the licence-specific price list.
These changes and information security require that old, user-specific installations of Acrobat DC, Adobe Photoshop CC 2019, Photoshop CC 2020 and Adobe CC All Apps 2019 are removed from the university’s Windows computers. The IT Center will remove these installations centrally starting 7 January 2021. The IT Center will replace these installations with Adobe Creative Cloud software that allows you to install and update Adobe applications yourself.
If you have one of the above Adobe applications installed on your university Windows computer:
- During January 2021, you will receive a notification regarding the uninstallation of old Adobe software versions and the installation of the Adobe Creative Cloud application on your work computer.
- The uninstallation of the old applications and the installation of Adobe Creative Cloud will take approximately 15–45 minutes. The applications cannot be used during this time.
- Afterwards, you can install your new Adobe software versions via the Adobe Creative Cloud application or Adobe’s website. This requires logging in to the service. Please find further instructions at Adobe’s website.
- Note! These changes apply to user-specific licences on Windows computers. There will be no changes to device-specific installations. Further information regarding Adobe licences.
