The IT Center will begin a cleanup of network registries

The IT Center will begin a cleanup of University network registries. As a result of the cleanup, fixed line network addresses that have been disconnected for over 365 days will be released for use.

• If your computer has not been connected to your docking station or via fixed line to the network for 365 days, you cannot access the Internet with a fixed (cable) network connection.
• Only fixed network addresses that have been out of use for long period of time will be released, and nothing else will ensue due to this. Your files and settings are safe even if your fixed network address is released as an unused address. The released address can also be reinstated for you if necessary.
• Wireless networks work normally.
