Old helsinki.fi service websites will be removed on 24 February 2021

The University of Helsinki renewed its helsinki.fi website a few years ago. The website will undergo another renewal starting in March 2021. We will run down the servers and websites of the old service that was in use before the aforementioned renewals on 24 February 2021. The old websites must be removed due to routing changes in network traffic, expired technology, inadequate information security and administration costs.

Owners of the old websites were informed of the removal already in 2019 and again in 2020 via e-mail.

• If you still need your website, you must transfer it to another service, such as the university’s blog service at blogs.helsinki.fi or some other suitable publishing platform. In this case, the owner of the website will probably have to set up the website again for it to suit the new platform. If necessary, contact helpdesk@helsinki.fi as soon as possible and we will try to find the most suitable place for your website.
• If you no longer need the website, let us know without delay by contacting us at webmaster@helsinki.fi. In this case, your website will be removed from the server. If you need a copy of the files on the website, let us know in the same message.
• If your website has already been transferred elsewhere, but you would like visitors to be redirected to the new address from the old address, contact us at webmaster@helsinki.fi.
