You can enable additional security for your meetings and access all University Zoom functionalities by logging in to Zoom with your University username. Read the recommendations on the safe and permitted use of Zoom in this bulletin.
Extra security for your meetings
- Zoom has three different security features to help keep your meetings secure. At least one security feature must be enabled when creating a meeting. The Passcode setting is enabled by default, but you can also choose between Waiting Room or Authentication, i.e. mandatory login to Zoom. You can also choose all the security features.
- Especially in larger team or workgroup meetings it is good practice to choose mandatory login in addition to Passcode, so that the participants of the meetings can be identified.
- We recommend that you create your own Zoom meeting for each session. For example, sharing a Personal Meeting Room meeting link that is used frequently, especially without security features, exposes your meeting to misuse. The link could be spread without your control and your Personal Meeting Room could be misused.
- Read IT Helpdesk instructions for using Zoom and take advantage of all the University Zoom features
