A platform for running IT applications or systems implemented by using container technology.
The container platform service provides a maintained Red Hat OpenShift container platform environment for running containers. Using the service requires technical expertise in the technologies used.
The service is currently produced in the University of Helsinki's own premises.
Projects order the service by using a self-service form and project owners manage IDM groups to give users access to the service:
Self Service → "Order an Openshift project – Tilaa openshift-projekti"
The IT Center is responsible for the maintenance, development and support of the University's container service environment.
The user of the service is responsible for general compliance with the terms of use of the University's information systems and for the information security of their own application.
The person responsible for the project is responsible for the activities and management of their own group, and is obligated to follow the instructions given for the use of the service.
The IT Center may block an individual user or group of users from accessing the service if their activities cause harm to other users of the service and are contrary to the instructions given on the use of the service.
