The University’s old JMP Pro license will expire on 1 January 2025 as JMP has separated from SAS to a separate company. The IT Center will remove old JMP Pro versions centrally from University Windows and Mac computers from 20 December 2024 onward. JMP will no longer be available on Cubbli computers after 1 January 2025, because JMP no longer supports the software on Linux.
Update JMP to the new JMP Student Edition when you receive a notification on your centrally managed University Windows or Mac computer.
NB! To use JMP after its installation, you must first create and register a JMP user account.
Please note that creating a user account does not currently work with the Sign Up link in the JMP application window. Do not click on the Sign Up link in the JMP application startup window. Instead, follow these steps to start using JMP Student Edition:
- Create a JMP account on the JMP Student Edition website by clicking on Sign Up. See JMP’s instructions for creating an account and logging in.
- Launch the JMP Student Edition software only after creating and registering your account.
- If you have not previously used the JMP software and wish to use it on your University computer, first create a JMP user account and then install it on your Windows work computer from the Software Center or for your Mac work computer from the Managed Software Center.
- To enable JMP software on your home computer, create and register a JMP user account and then install the JMP software on the JMP website in accordance with the JMP instructions.
