Phishing messages using University of Helsinki addresses detected

Users have reported phishing messages sent from University of Helsinki addresses and signed by the University. These e-mails contain a link to a fake Office 365 login page, which appears completely legitimate. Entering your login information on this fake login page will result in your password being compromised.

Should you receive the following e-mail message containing a link, do not click it: "Hello, This is to notify all Staffs that we are validating active accounts. Kindly confirm that your account is still in use." If you accidentally enter your information on the fake login page, you should immediately change your password at www.helsinki.fi/password. If you cannot log in to any University services, we have reset your password in order to secure your account. In this case you will need to reset your password by verifying your identity via either your bank account's access codes (this must be a Finnish bank account) or by obtaining an ID Point Code.

If you do not have a Finnish bank account, you can retrieve your password via an ID Point Code, which can be obtained at your nearest ID Point service desk. Please read further instructions here:
