30.10.2020 - 08.50
Uppdaterad

The new Office software, Microsoft 365 Apps (previously Office 365 ProPlus), will be available for university Windows computers from 9 November 2020. You can install the new version yourself from Software Center. Microsoft adds new features to the software every six months.

Please note! Microsoft 365 Apps requires at least an A3 license level account. If you have an A1 license level account, you cannot use Microsoft 365 Apps. Read more about Microsoft 365 license levels at the university.

  • If you install the update on your own university work computer, make sure that you install the Microsoft 365 Apps package available at the Software Center, not the Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 package that is also available. The latter update is intended for computers in shared use. The update is large, so please install it e.g. at the end of your workday.
  • Microsoft 365 Apps is preinstalled on the university’s new and re-installed Windows computers.
  • In addition to the Microsoft 365 Apps available for the university staff’s computers that can you can update yourself, the IT Center will begin centralized installations of Office Professional Plus 2019 (version locked) on shared use computers in lecture rooms and IT stations on 7 November 2020.
