According to the university Zoom service provider CSC, Zoom desktop application versions older than 5.2 will stop working over the weekend of 5–6 December 2020. Make sure you are using version 5.2 or higher. New versions have mostly been updated on centrally maintained university computers, but you should still check the version. You must update the application on your home computer and mobile devices yourself.
- To view the version information, click the profile icon at the top right corner of the Zoom desktop application: Help -> About Zoom.
- If you are using a Zoom desktop application version below 5.2 on your university computer, update the application via Software Center.
- If you are using Zoom on your home computer, update the application from the Zoom website.
- Update your mobile application to version 5.2 or higher using the app store of your device.
