Administrator privileges (admin privileges) | HELPDESK

Administrator privileges (admin privileges)

For justified reasons, the user may be granted the administration permissions for a single workstation when the user can change settings and install software and run software updates. These tasks usually require administration rights. For centrally administered computers, the basic user does not have such rights.

Instructions for applying for administration rights for a computer, their renewal and administration responsibility can be found in Flamma (requires login).

Note: If you work in IT at the university and your tasks include, for example, system or server maintenance, you can apply for a separate administrator and main user account. Read more about administrator and main user accounts on the User accounts and passwords landing page.
