The IT Center will transfer remote locations to the new core network on 26 May 2020

The IT Center is transferring the university’s remote locations outside Helsinki from the old core network to the new network on Tuesday 26 May 2020 at 8–11 a.m. The work will cause service breaks for the university’s remote locations listed below. If the scheduled time is unsuitable for e.g. ongoing research, please contact us: helpdesk@helsinki.fi.

The transfer of the remote locations is a part of the core network renewal work conducted by the IT Center to improve the capacity and reliability of the university’s core network in 2020.

Remote locations to be transferred on Tuesday 26 May 2020 at 8–11 a.m:

  • Saarentaus (Pohjoinen pikatie 800)
  • Korkeakoski (Hyytiäläntie 124)
  • Mikkeli (Saimaankatu 6, Lönnrotinkatu 5, Lönnrotinkatu 7)
  • Värriö Subarctic Research Station (Savukoski)
  • Tvärminne Zoological Station (Hanko)
