Digital Security Week is a week of events dedicated to digital security organised by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency, the aim of which is to provide practical ways to improve digital security. The University of Helsinki is also involved – we invite you to join us!
Here’s how you can participate in the Digital Security Week:
1. Join the Digital Security at the University webinar on Tuesday, 1 October from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Register in Flamma!
The topics include an update on information security at the University and Digital security and the use of generative AI. See the full programme in Flamma!
2. Listen to the newly published first episode of the Korkeakoulujen tietoturvaajat podcast on SoundCloud!
In the podcast, current information security topics are discussed with information security experts, teachers, researchers and students from various higher education institutions. The podcast is a collaboration between Tampere University, the National Defence University, the University of Lapland, the University of Jyväskylä and the University of Helsinki.

Monday, 30 September at 9:20 a.m. Results of the Digital Security Barometer 2024: How much confidence do Finns have in the digital world?

Wednesday, 2 October from 9:10 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. What are today’s biggest digital threats to the security of citizens? How can we improve our security?

Thursday, 3 October at 10:15 a.m. EU’s digital regulation promotes security – The Digital Markets Act (DMA), the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the AI Act in particular will be discussed. Sitra’s Senior Lead, Programmes, Tarmo Toikkanen and Specialist, Programmes, Meeri Toivanen will introduce us to the topic.

Friday, 4 October at 9:10 a.m. Digital well-being – what are an expert’s best tips for coping in the digital world? Professor Minna Huotilainen from the University of Helsinki will be covering the topic.
