Personal Mappi e-mail accounts will be closed

The university’s personal Mappi e-mail accounts will be closed on 10 January 2017 and cannot be used for sending or receiving e-mail after that.

This change requires action from every user of the Mappi service:

  1. Due to the change, all users using personal Mappi e-mail will transfer to Office 365 e-mail users. You should start the transition immediately if you haven’t done it yet. Instructions for the transition can be found here.
     
  2. Old e-mails are not copied centrally from Mappi e-mail to Office 365 e-mail. Instead, each user is responsible for copying their own e-mails. You should, however, delete any unnecessary messages before this and only copy messages which may be processed in cloud services (Flamma). Copying instructions.

Users of shared Mappi e-mail:

  1. Shared Mappi mailboxes will remain in use until further notice if they are used using an email application (such as Thunderbird). Webmail will be closed for the users of shared mailboxes as well, but all the necessary actions for the administration of user rights will also be available in Thunderbird. Further information will be provided as soon as the technical solutions have been decided.
