Possible breaks in university network services and connections in Viikki on 18 November 2020

The university’s network services (including Flamma, helsinki.fi and Office 365) and some of Viikki’s data connections (buildings near the Jokeri Light Rail construction site) may experience breaks on Wednesday, 18 November 2020 starting at 8 a.m. All of the aforementioned network connections have back-up connections but activating them may also cause short service breaks.

The reason for the breaks is that fibre-optic connections are being moved on the Viikki Campus due to construction work related to the Jokeri Light Rail. Returning network traffic to normal connections from back-up connections may also cause breaks during the same day.
