On a university computer, you can launch a remote desktop using the HY menu or the VMware Horizon Client program. The software is already installed on all Windows, Linux and macOS workstations.
If you would like to run a remote desktop on your own device, go to vdi.helsinki.fi. You can choose whether you want to open the remote desktop in your browser or install the customer software on your computer.
If you work at the university, you can use a Windows 7 or Cubbli Linux desktop remotely. If you are a student, you can use a Cubbli Linux desktop. A remote macOS desktop is not available because Apple does not allow virtual use of its workstations.
