In early 2023, the two-step login verification required for the secure virtual desktop service was also enabled for Microsoft’s multi-factor authentication (MFA) in addition to the previous RSA SecurID Token. The use of the RSA SecurID Token will be completely discontinued during this year as its use will become unnecessary.
If you are still using the RSA SecurID token to log in to the Securedesk environment or Umpio storage:
- Change your VMware login address from the old securedesk.it.helsinki.fi address to the new securedesk.helsinki.fi address, and then try the new login method using Microsoft’s multi-factor authentication (MFA).
