The University Zoom service (Funet Miitti) was updated with several improvements and changes from 1 May 2024. In addition to user interface improvements, Zoom changed the license model for University Zoom to Zoom One for Education Enterprise Essentials license model, and the service name changed to Zoom Workplace. The license change applies to University Zoom service users.

- University staff and students have access to a 500-participant webinar license. This means that you can create Zoom webinars at any time without booking a separate webinar license.
- All Zoom meetings for University staff and students can accommodate 500 participants, starting from version 6.0.0.
- You still need to book a fixed-term webinar licenses for 1,000 and 3,000 participants separately. See IT Helpdesk instructions for booking webinar licenses.
- For more information on the license change, visit the Zoom website.
