We increased OpenVPN capacity for remote working

The IT Center has increased the capacity of the OpenVPN service to support remote working during this exceptional situation at the University of Helsinki. We increased capacity by also adding a new “hy-tun” connection, which may require you to restart the OpenVPN service. Please see Helpdesk instructions here.

We specifically recommend OpenVPN for remote work due to its greater capacity. OpenVPN connections are still in high demand. Please only use VPN if you specifically need it for your work, e.g. O365, Teams, email, Flamma etc. work without VPN!
