The University will replace the previous Confluence-based wiki service (wiki.helsinki.fi) with the open source XWiki service in 2024. The service change is due to costs as the current wiki service provider Atlassian will significantly increase the pricing of its products. We will release detailed information about XWiki and the service change later in spring.
To make the transition to XWiki as easy as possible, we recommend that users of the current wiki service (wiki.helsinki.fi) remove outdated and unnecessary wiki pages and content well in advance. This will greatly facilitate the data transfer process to the new XWiki service.
Please note:
- The wiki service (wiki.helsinki.fi) is intended also for presenting information that must be publicly accessible outside the University without logging in.
- The Flamma Workgroups service (workgroups.helsinki.fi) is primarily intended for the production and presentation of the University's internal content and for cooperation between academic communities (Haka and eduGAIN federations). Please use Flamma Workgroups only when your content is intended for use within the University or between academic communities.
