Zoom mandatory Waiting room/Passcode setting not activated – further information pending

Contrary to the information we received from CSC, the mandatory Passcode or Waiting room functionality in Nordunet’s Zoom (Funet Miitti) meetings has not been activated. We await further information from the service provider CSC on the matter and will inform university staff and students as soon as we have detailed information. Our apologies to university staff and students for the inconvenience.

• Despite the postponement of the mandatory Passcode/Waiting room setting, we recommend that university staff and students use passcode protection or waiting rooms in Zoom meetings. The passcode protection setting has been on by default in all new University of Helsinki Zoom meetings since spring 2020.
