A security vulnerability has been detected in Windows 10, and a security update must be installed on Windows 10 computers by 21 January 2020, 04:00 P.M. The update requires a restart.
- restart your computer immediately upon receiving an update notification
- the update takes a few minutes
- the restart will be forced on Windows 10 computers on Tuesday 21 January 2020 at 04:00 P.M.
REMINDER: The use of Windows 7 computers at the University of Helsinki ends 20 January, 2020 due to information security reasons. All Windows 7 network traffic, including traffic from personally owned Windows 7 computers, will be blocked in the university network on 20 January 2020. Windows 7 computers owned by the university were upgraded or replaced during 2019, as was extensively announced in 2019. If you have not upgraded your Windows 7 computer, or your university owned Windows 7 computer has not been replaced with a Windows 10 computer, contact Helpdesk.
