Old Zoom desktop application versions will stop working 1 June 2020. Make sure you are using version 5.0 or higher. We have rolled out the new version for centrally maintained university computers, but you should still check the version. You must update the application on your home computer and mobile devices yourself.
- To view the version information, click the profile icon at the top right corner of the Zoom desktop application -> Help -> About Zoom.
- If you are using a Zoom desktop application version below 5.0 on your university computer, update the application via Software Center.
- If you are using Zoom on your home computer, update the application from the Zoom website.
- Update your mobile application to version 5.0 or higher using the app store of your device.
- You can also use Zoom’s browser version via the Chrome browser at: http://www.helsinki.fi/zoom. Read Helpdesk Zoom instructions, section Using Zoom with a browser
