F-Secure Client Security will be updated to a new version on Windows 10 computers starting from 19 January – the name of the software will change to WithSecure Client Security

For security reasons, F-Secure Client Security will be updated to a new version on the University's Windows 10 computers during January 2024. With the update, the name and visual appearance of the software will also change: in the future, you will find the software on your computer under the name WithSecure Client Security. We will start upgrading the University's centrally managed Windows 10 computers as of 19 January.

  • The latest version of WithSecure Client Security will be installed on your University Windows 10 computer in approximately one month.
  • Accept the update when you see a notification on your computer.
  • The installation takes a few minutes.The installation does not require you to restart the computer.
  • If you postpone the update, you can install it from the Software Center at a time convenient to you.
  • The update does not apply to Macs.
