The university will discontinue the use of Pulse Secure VPN software and the related VPN portal service (https://www.vpn.helsinki.fi/) on 31 May 2021. The services will be discontinued due to the unification of university VPN services as well as cost efficiency. These services will be replaced by OpenVPN, which has already been in use at the university for a long time. OpenVPN has been installed by default on all computers included in the university’s centralised administration.
Start using OpenVPN well before the discontinuation of Pulse Secure VPN and VPN portal:

- Read OpenVPN instructions for university Mac computers (OpenVPN connection formed using the Tunnelblick software)
- Read OpenVPN instructions for iOS devices
- Read OpenVPN instructions for Android devices
