Try the new cloud recording service for Zoom recordings – pilot on-going

14.01.2022 - 09:57

University staff and students can now use the new NORDUnet cloud recording service added to Zoom on 1 January 2022. The service enables more reliable recording than e.g. recording onto a lecture room computer, as Zoom recordings are stored on NORDUnet’s Nordic server, and you can download them directly to your university computer. NORDUnet is the service provider for the university Zoom version.

The cloud recording service is being piloted by the IT Center at the university until the end of the spring term on 31 May 2022. The details of the service will be specified further after the pilot.

  • Read the IT Helpdesk instructions on using the cloud recording service.
  • When using the NORDUnet cloud recording service, the download link for the recording is sent to the e-mail of the meeting organizer (host) once recording is completed.
  • The recording is stored on NORDUnet's Nordic server and can be downloaded for ten days. After this, the recording will be deleted from the server and cannot be restored.
  • Download the recording to your work computer for further processing or to upload it to a platform of your choice (Unitube, YouTube).
